Therapeutic Massage
This massage will achieve a deep relaxation while increasing circulation and blood flow. If you are strictly looking to relax and are not experiencing muscle pain or discomfort, a Swedish might be the best option for you. During a one hour Swedish massage, your therapist will use slow gliding strokes with a light to medium pressure to give you a full body massage. Swedish massages are perfect after a long week at the office or after an exam to put your mind and body at ease. A Therapeutic massage on the other hand is perfect for relieving muscle tension or discomfort and improving range of motion. During a one hour Therapeutic massage your therapist will implement techniques to help loosen tense areas and break up knots using a medium to firm pressure throughout your entire body.
Swedish Massage
A massage best known as a technique that is relaxing to the entire body. In this massage it is used to apply smooth gliding strokes to help increase the level of oxygen in the blood, decrease muscle toxins, and improve circulation and flexibility while easing tension.
Hot Stone Massage
This service has many benefits. Soothing stones submerged in a hot water bath, relax the muscles allowing access to the deeper layer of muscles. The heat from the stones expands the blood vessels and helps blood flow throughout the body. It melts away tension, eases muscle stiffness and increases metabolism. The heat reduces pain and stress and helps you fall into a deeper relaxation. Stones are placed on key points while incorporating it with a customized massage. Cold stones are also used on the face to open sinuses. Not recommended during pregnancy.
Deep Tissue
This type of massage adds Swedish strokes while using deeper pressure. The slow pace strokes allow the therapist to sink into the deeper layers of muscles. This technique is known for helping lower blood pressure, reduces stress, release tension, pain, and helps boost your mood.
Maternity Massage
It is to help ease soreness for the expecting mother. Great for prenatal care! It is a nurturing, soothing massage that helps reduce fatigue, muscle tension, headaches, stress, lower back pain, swelling, and sore feet. A soft pregnancy pillow is used and gives a safe and comfortable way for the mother to lie on her stomach during the massage.
Sinus Massage
This massage is an effective method to reduce or alleviate sinus pressure, headaches, and headache pressure discomfort. This is done through acupressure, tapotement ( a gentle tapping ) with light pressure on sinus points. Warm steam, hot and cold stones, along with cleansing signature aromas is applied to release the pressure. It clears the head and causes sinus drainage.
Lymphatic Massage
Using very light pressure in a rhythmic, circular motion, a massage therapist can stimulate the lymph system to work more efficiently and help it move the lymph fluids back to the heart. The therapist gently rubs, strokes, taps or pushes the skin in directions that follow the structure of the lymphatic system so that accumulated lymph fluid can drain through proper channels. Lymphatic is not painful and doesn’t have a stimulating effect. It clears sluggish tissues of waste and swelling and helps to restore function to the lymph system and balance to the body. This is beneficial not just for older women but everyone.
Bar Ashiatsu Massage
“Ashi” means foot and “atsu” means pressure. It is based on an ancient Ayurvedic practice. It combines Swedish massage, myofascial, and compression techniques that are applied to the body with the therapist’s feet. It delivers a consistent flow and deep luxurious style of massage stokes that glide over the body. It increases circulation, and releases soreness and tension. Bar Ashiatsu creates a relaxed state that lasts for hours after the massage service. You don’t walk out of your service you float!(where did it come from)
Foot Reflexology
Everyone who is on their feet all day, this service is for you! This modality helps with plantar fasciitis, ankle injuries, swollen ankles, and everyday activities. To start your relaxation there is a warm foot wrap followed by deep smooth strokes to warm the tissue. Adding pressure to certain points (acupressure) stimulate the body’s nerve reflexes which correspond to all major organs in the body. This will reduce fatigue, help arthritis, decrease stress, and improve circulation.
Chair Massage
This massage is a style of seated massage in a special chair that cradles your face and supports your arms .This is typically a shorter service. It focuses on your back, shoulders, neck, head and arms. The therapist relieves muscle tension using Swedish massage moves like kneading and compression. Chair massage is done over clothes and doesn’t require massage oil.( only 15-30min)
Sports Massage
This treatment is geared towards athletes of every kind. This massage focuses on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements. It can be used to enhance pre-event preparation and reduce recovery time for best performance in training or after an event. This type of massage releases muscular tension flexes the joints, helps prevent injuries, improves circulation, and helps achieve best performance. Sports massage consists of stretching and compressions. Not recommended for joint replacements.
If you would like to receive a full body massage, which includes your back, neck, shoulders, face, scalp, hands, feet, arms and legs, it is best to book a one hour massage. Please note that if you schedule a thirty minute massage, your therapist will have time to work on one or two areas of the body. If you feel that certain areas need extra attention but that you would still like to receive a full body massage, a 90 minute massage would be beneficial for you.
